June 26 (Citizen News) – The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has suspended the party membership and all positions of Horana organizer Charith Abeysinghe with immediate effect, following his remand in custody.
Issuing a special media statement, the party clarified that at the time of the alleged bribery incident in 2023, Abeysinghe was not serving as a member, organizer or official of the SJB.
The party further emphasized that it has never opposed legal proceedings or court action against individuals involved in corruption or unlawful activities.
