September 22 (Citizen News) - Established in 2009, Marketers Toastmasters Club marked another milestone in its journey with the 18th Club Officer Installation Ceremony, held in Colombo under the theme “Rooted to Rise.”
For over 17 years, the club has provided a platform for individuals to develop their communication and leadership skills, with many members going on to become confident speakers and leaders in their professional and personal lives. As part of the Toastmasters International community, Marketers Toastmasters Club has continued to build a culture of learning, fellowship and leadership development.
The Marketers Toastmasters Club, established in 2009, held its 18th Club Officer Installation Ceremony for the 2026–2027 term on 19 September in Colombo, under the theme “Rooted to Rise.”
The ceremony was attended by Distinguised Toastmaster Bhathiya Hettiarachchi, District Director of District 82, Toastmasters International, as Chief Guest. In a symbolic gesture, the District Director handed over the District Director’s Home Club banner to the newly elected Club President of Marketers Toastmasters Club.
The newly elected Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 term
was also formally installed, taking on the responsibility of guiding the club
towards another year of learning, leadership and growth. Adding to the significance of the occasion, new members
were formally inducted into Marketers Toastmasters Club, welcoming them
into the club’s continuing journey of learning, leadership and personal growth.
The evening featured an inspiring keynote address by Mr.
Arshad Mohideen, Co-Founder and CEO of 73 Avenue Realtors, who shared
insights and encouragement with members and guests.
The event also brought together senior Toastmasters,
distinguished guests, past leaders and members of the club, reflecting the
strong sense of camaraderie that has remained at the heart of Marketers
Toastmasters Club throughout its journey.

As Marketers Toastmasters Club begins its 2026–2027 term, the
new leadership and members look forward to building on the club’s strong
foundation, embracing new opportunities and continuing to rise together, rooted in the values, friendships and traditions that have shaped the club over the years.
