Grounded in the philosophy that the Effies celebrate "ideas that work," this year’s panel is tasked with identifying marketing campaigns that transcend traditional advertising to connect with audiences on a profound emotional level and deliver a measurable impact.
Leading this year’s evaluation process is Janmesh Antony, the Director of Marketing at Singer Sri Lanka PLC, who has been appointed as the Jury Head. His extensive industry experience and strategic foresight are expected to be instrumental in guiding the panel as they vet the nation’s most effective marketing strategies. The organizing body, the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), expressed its sincere gratitude to the entire jury for their dedication to honoring the creative minds driving the industry forward.
Among the prominent figures joining the panel are two influential creative leaders from the DC Group, Rohit A. Malandkar and Asela de Silva, who both bring high-caliber expertise to this year’s judging process. Rohit A. Malandkar, Group Executive Creative Director, offers over two decades of international experience building brands across Sri Lanka, India, New Zealand, and France. With an MBA in Finance alongside advanced studies in English and Psychology, Rohit provides a unique level of strategic rigor to creative thinking—a skill set that has seen his work recognized at prestigious global forums including Adfest, D&AD, and the New York Festivals.
Joining him is Executive Creative Director Asela de Silva, a self-professed daydreamer who adds a rare global perspective as the only Sri Lankan and among a select few worldwide to receive a scholarship to the Cannes Lions Young Creative Academy. With a background in Business Development and nearly twenty years of experience with major brands, Asela’s work has earned numerous accolades for both creative excellence and effectiveness. His passion for creating ideas that audiences actively engage with, combined with Rohit’s strategic leadership, ensures a well-rounded evaluation of the entries.
Together with the rest of the jury, these seasoned experts will spend the coming weeks examining the intersection of creativity and commercial effectiveness to determine which campaigns truly set the gold standard for marketing excellence in Sri Lanka.
